All you can do is shake your head

The Bloc as part of a governing coalition.

The Bloc Quebecois, as part of government?

A separatist party, taking a significant and powerful role in forming policy for all of Canada?

And no Liberals or NDPers see a problem with this?

Even if you hate Stephen Harper -- even if you are still amongst the few ignorant people who 'fear' Stephen Harper -- you have to see how very wrong this is.

It is one thing for opposition parties, including the Bloc to work to bring down the government -- it is entirely another for the the opposition, including the Bloc to sit AS government. For those who don't see the difference -- I suggest you are letting your partisan slip show.

Please, don't remind me that most of the people who voted, didn't vote for Harper -- I am aware of that already -- but I remind you, most of the people who voted in previous elections didn't vote for most of the PMs we've had in recent history -- that never mattered until now.

This is your country and a group of mercenary, power hungry, myopic despots are hijacking it in the name of -- in the name of -- what?

Except that the Bloc is not part of the coalition or government. The coalition is between the NDP and Liberals. Either the Conservatives or the Coalition need the support of the Bloc in order to have the confidence of the House. The Coalition has it.

The Bloc is not in the coalition. No members of the Bloc will sit in government.

The Bloc signed the agreement tonight right along with the NDP and the Liberals.

Don't you dare try to say their not a part of this!

The appeasers and apologists are already out in full force commenting on conservative blogs.

The Bloc is not part of the coalition?!? You wish -- they are part of it and will hold the balance of power...if it's not good for Quebec, THEY WILL VOTE AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT.

Wake up you left-wing numbskulls!

The Bloc has a veto. They are part of the coalition. Gimme a break.

They won't hold any cabinet positions though. They may have agreed to prop up the coalition, but their actual say over the various branches of the federal government will be minimal.

Pearce,

What don't you understand here? The Bloc cares very little for the successful operation of parliament; their whole raison d'etre is to show Quebecers that parliament is dysfunctional and therefore can never have their full interests in mind. So, therefore, let's separate.

Do you see the gravity of this? It's a frightening prospect for those federalism.
